Washroom Deep Cleaning

Toilet and Urinal Descaling in Gqeberha

Manual descaling of pans, traps, urinals and fittings, targeting the build-up behind odour and slow drainage.

Where Washroom Odour Usually Starts

Scale builds up inside toilet pans, urinal bowls and the traps beneath them. It forms below the water line and inside the trap where it is out of sight, so a washroom can be visibly clean and still hold the deposits that generate odour.

As the deposit thickens it narrows the trap. Flushing slows, water sits longer, blockages become more frequent, and the odour becomes constant rather than occasional. Standard cleaning products applied to the visible bowl do not reach it.

Descaling removes that build-up manually and mechanically, restoring flow and addressing the odour at its source rather than covering it with fragrance.

How the Service Is Delivered

01

Assessment

We inspect the fittings, check drainage behaviour and gauge how far the build-up has advanced.

02

Isolation and preparation

The area is closed off, water is managed and surrounding surfaces are protected.

03

Manual descaling

Deposits are removed from the bowl, outlet and accessible trap using the appropriate method for the fitting.

04

Flow check

Drainage is tested and any remaining restriction is identified and reported.

05

Sanitise and report

Fittings are sanitised and any defects found during the work are reported to the client.

Important Limitations

  • Cannot clear blockages located beyond the fitting in the building drainage system
  • Plumbing work, seal replacement and fitting replacement are not included
  • Cannot guarantee results where the pan or trap is cracked, corroded or already damaged
  • Waterless urinal cartridges and consumables are supplied separately
  • Where odour originates from ventilation or drainage faults, correction is a separate requirement
  • Severely deteriorated fittings may need replacement rather than descaling, which will be indicated at assessment
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Our urinals smell even after cleaning. Will this fix it?+

If the odour comes from scale in the bowl, outlet or trap, descaling normally resolves it. If it comes from a dry trap, a ventilation fault or a drainage problem, descaling will not, and we will report what we find so it can be corrected properly.

How often is descaling needed?+

It depends on water hardness, traffic and fitting type. High-traffic facilities are often scheduled quarterly. The assessment recommends an interval for your site.

Do you use acid-based products?+

Method and products are selected according to the fitting and the level of build-up, and are recorded in the agreed scope. Surrounding surfaces are protected during the work.

Will the toilets be usable during the work?+

The facility being descaled is closed while work is in progress. We normally work in sequence or outside operating hours so other facilities stay available.

Can descaling prevent blockages?+

It reduces one common cause by restoring the trap opening. It cannot prevent blockages caused by misuse or by faults elsewhere in the drainage system.
